Also, maintain mind that golf clubs with lower numbers imply more leverage, allowing you to make further shots
Despite that, these types of clubs are no longer made of a wooded clubhead they are still called ‘woods’. Woods club are characterized by having longer shafts and being bigger in comparison to the other types of golf clubs
Another outstanding characteristic is the roundness of the heads. Woods are used to hitting the ball at longer distances than the other types of clubs.
These species of clubs will not only allow you to hit higher but also help you to perform longer shots, hence it’s important when making your way to the green area, Woods are awesome!
Drivers, for example, belong to the woods category of golf clubs which is classically known as 1-Wood, which has the lowest loft.
Woods are characterized to be the longest club established in a golfer’s golf bag and with the biggest head of any club, Its goal is to get the ball as far as possible.
Irons are golf clubs that have a solid head made of iron or steel with a flat angled face, a shorter shaft and a more upright angle than the woods.
Irons are used when you are situated less than 200 yards away from your target, the green.
The closer you are to the green, the higher the iron you will use. A standard batch of irons clubs is made up of numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 irons along with the pitching wedge.
Long irons (3, 4, and 5 iron)
They are challenging to use due to the length, they are designed for longer shots and not for accuracy. However, with practice, you will surely have a hang of them.
Mid-irons: 6, 7, 8 iron
These are easier to hit than long irons and that is because they are relatively short.
If you are a beginner, these are going to help you create confidence in your swinging technique as progressively learn in golf.
When it comes to practising your full swings, these are indeed a perfect choice.

You can chip your way from around the green, escape from bunkers, pitch from range and even hit full shots. See? They are amazingly useful.
Hybrid golf clubs
These aid to fill in the division between the harder-to-hit irons that we spoke about before and fairway woods
They are designed for achieving better distance, trajectory, and control, combining characteristics from irons and wood clubs.
Hybrids can even replace Irons once they have the same number, in this case, a Hybrid 3 is the perfect substitute for an Iron 3 and so on.
They can be the replacement for the woods and iron clubs in your bag.
The grand final is reserved for the Putters!
Putters are designed in such a way for you to keep your eye on the ball.
It is used to make quite short swings with a low speed to roll the ball into the hole from a short distance.
Putters are the chosen ones for the short game.
By the way, what is Loft?
The loft of a golf club is simply the angle of the clubface about the club’s shaft
This means that the level of the loft angle of the club is comparative to the upright plane instead than the ground
Loft plays a big role in trajectory and the amount of generated spin on the ball. It also determines the range the ball will be able to travel
To make it easier, more loft naturally creates a huger trajectory along with more spin meanwhile lower loft will cause the ball to travel lowered with less amount of spin.
